Person-Centred Counsellor
Lisa is a highly skilled person-centred counsellor with extensive experience in private practice. She works with individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and orientations, helping them navigate complex issues and past traumas that impact their daily lives and well-being.
Confidentiality and ethical practice are at the core of her work, allowing her to create a safe environment for her clients and herself. Her volunteer work with a charity organisation has equipped her to support individuals dealing with grief related to baby loss and pregnancy choices. Additionally, she has successfully provided counselling to young sixth-form students facing stress, sexual abuse, childhood trauma, mental health challenges, eating disorders, and family issues that impede their personal growth.
Lisa’s approach is firmly centred on you and your unique needs. She excels at building trusting relationships and guiding you in discovering effective solutions that lead to a balanced and fulfilling life. Adhering to the ethical framework established by the BACP and NCPS ensures that she maintain a secure environment for her clients.
Lisa is currently a welfare officer for children aged 7-16 at a boxing club in Lowestoft twice a week, if they need emotional support, she is able to offer them supportive support and signpost them if required. She is also a co-facilitator with the East Coast college/University of Suffolk with the Access to Counselling skills class and the degree students.
Lisa holds a BA Hons in counselling and have pursued additional training in trauma hypnosis, safeguarding, cultural diversity, birth trauma, and understanding Adverse Childhood Experiences. With a clean DBS certificate, she is committed to ongoing professional development, consistently enhancing my skills to better serve her clients.
