Emma Pinner
Occupational Therapist
"I'm Emma, an Occupational Therapist. I work with autistic teenagers and young people who are having difficulty doing what they want and need to do in their daily life.
This might be because of difficulties with sensory processing, understanding and regulating emotions, feeling burnt out, and/or unable to engage in daily admin and self-care, or simply feeling stuck with how to live as a neurodivergent person in a neurotypical world.
Experiencing any of these can create huge barriers to the things that make life meaningful - friendships, relationships, education, interests, work, and planning for the future.
I work with young people to set functional goals, understand and work with the barriers they're facing, build their skill sets and coping tool kits, to increase their participation in the activities that are most meaningful to them."
